Taking Care of Business

Ahhhhhh, the continuing battle of the bulge. I did, unfortunately, re-gain 1/2 # after last weeks amazing food adventure at Rendezvous for G.'s birthday. Sorry, but it was worth every oz. I put back on. Uh-huh-huh-oh! Loved it.

Considering this only happens once or twice a year, I think I'll be fine. I can feel in my clothes that that 1/2 # is already gone gone along with 1 or 2 if its cousins. I'm not worried.

My little princess Delilah is doing so well. She's still in the cone but the open wound is so much smaller than it was. It seems to go down by at least 1/2 each week I'm happy to say. And yesterday, Friday, she went up on her hind legs in happiness for the walk! Another return to normal event, Yay!

I'm really pleased with the vet I've been taking her to. some time ago, years in fact, I'd called them when my first dog, Roscoe, was choking on a bone he'd gotten out of the garbage bag I was taking out. I was told it would be $200.00 just to see him 'cuz he was new to them. Let alone the cost for helping him. I started crying and said I didn't have that and was told to call a low-cost vet then. I was so stunned and angry by that. I couldn't believe what I had heard.

Apparently that person is no longer there because everyone has been wonderful since. U never went back there purposely because of that. I have a mobile vet whom I love come to the house but he doesn't take my medical credit card. (Which was almost paid off 'til the princess' ordeal)

The vet Delilah is seeing has called twice to check on her, the intern or assistant is so excited to see her and hear about her progress and they were all so generous to my beloved Putney when he was on his way to another dimension. I have completely done a 180 with this pet hospital. I now have 2 vets I go to, my mobile vet, Dr. Lee Fike and these guys across the street, Animal Health Hospital.

Thank you all for helping my babies.

My cooler has started making this awful noise. It 1st happened Thursday evening when I got home. I called the home warranty people and they said someone would get back to me the next day. I finally called the company and the guy tells me he can't get out here until Monday. Oh hell no!

It's a brick house, in Tucson and the temps are going back up to the mid-high 90's this weekend. are you f'in kidding me? I told him I have to work and that I have dogs to which he says to leave a key or have someone be there. Well, #1, who wants to sit in an oven? #2, I'm not leaving a key for someone I don't know. Are you out of your mind?

I called the warranty place again and relay the problem, I say I need someone out fast and he actually says to me "That sounds like a personal problem." Holy Toledo, I wanted to rip his lips off! A personal problem, I'll give you a personal problem dips__t!

He comes back from speaking to his manager and agrees to put a "rush" on it. Thanks buddy, I hope I didn't put you out too much.

5 hours later, I get a call saying they've found a place that can come out that day. The place will text me when they're coming. Well, needless to say, I got nothing. Thankfully, I decided I'd meet G. for our normal cocktail hour and not just sit there waiting for a call. Ha!

I'd best have someone show up today or there's going to be hell to pay. Hell, I say.

Good news! My house is still hotter'n haities but I'm getting a brand, spanking new swamp cooler. Should arrive next Tues. maybe Wed.! Yippppeeee! The one I've got is more than likely the original cooler. My house was built in 1973! Perfect timing, it's supposed to get back up to the 100's temperature-wise in Tucson in the middle of the week.

G. says that I should feel cool air like I have never felt before in my house. I do have to pay out some monies myself but the cooler cost, labor and parts are on the home warranty company. I have to cover the new stand and some roof work needed for the new unit. I don't care, I'm not paying easily $1000.00-3000.00. Yahooey-looey!

Keep up on your home warranty's people. For all I pay each year, I've used it a few times and have saved a bundle in repairs. Even when I was struggling financially, I kept the warranty. Whew! It'll help lower the stress levels when something does occur.

On to something nicer, I took Sunday off to go to another belly dance workshop. this time the people are from Egypt. A drummer and a dancer. I can't wait. These make me so happy. My work pal M. is again coming with me. She's really diggin the belly dance. Yay!

I need to work on a couple of dance pieces for Dec. dance week. It's getting closer and I've been slacking on that as of late.

I have 2 completely different dances in my head and trying to separate them is tough. i need to work on bodies. I'm having difficulty just choreographing a duet on only 1. The other is a multi person and dance style in 1 piece and need another body to get it together. I'll have to ask someone to help me.

Oh well, life goes on. But, hopefully, a whole lot cooler after Tuesday!

I'm going to try a pork tenderloin stew this week.I'll post the results and the recipe if it works out well.

Stay well, keep dancing and Peace out.
