I know my friends on the West coast and family & friends in the mid-west & east coast have been quite severely hit, weather-wise. I hope you're all safe & sound. I'm just in & out of boots & sandals and t-tops & sweatshirts. Easy-peasy for us out here.
My quads, hamstrings & glutes are rather sore today, and have been since I taught a class that deals with the derriere. Holy moley! I love it though. I love being able to teach (& do) more classes now. I think the powers that be forgot I can & want to teach these classes. I believe I was being protected due to my knee but not necessary any longer.
It felt soooooo good to do this again. I knew I'd "feel the love" after, and was happy to do so. It's just gonna make my legs stronger, can't beat that, right?
It's soup weather. Last weekend I made some fresh cream of broccoli ("choppin' bro-cco-li-eee!") soup. YUM! Delicious. This weekend, fresh cream of mushroom soup. I like to use a few different types of mushrooms in my soup. Maybe it's just in my mind but it seems to give such a rich, full flavor. I'm having my sis, G., over for dinner tonight. she'd even told her son-in-law about my mushroom soup, not knowing I was planning it for dinner. Pretty cool to hear.
I've had my broccoli soup on the recipe page forever, just scroll down it's archived, and I've just added my cream of mushroom soup for you. Try it and feel free to make whatever changes you want. Then, let me know what you think and added or removed to your soup.
The rest of our meal tonight will be a beef roast on the grill. Of course I'll be seasoning it with some of Buck & Judy's Dang Rub. Slow, indirect grilling for a 2-3 hours, some snow peas in the wok, G's bringing some sort of dessert, and Voila! Dinner. Yum, yum, yum.
Don't forget, stay healthy, but if you do catch something, stay home so as to not infect anyone else.
What ever your beliefs, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Ramadan, Kwanza. I wish you all the happiness & love you can handle.
Peace & keep dancing.
