First I'm told that I needed to get a mistake in "clock outs" fixed, so I did. However, apparently nothing was done with the new information sent out the day after being so informed! Then I find out because of that snafu, my short-term disability account had been CLOSED! Say What?
Finally, after blowing a gasket and HR's email, I'm told it's all been taken care of and that "they" are cutting me a check for the missing 3 weeks. I'm even forwarded an email from the disability company that it was being sent out the next day. I received that on last Tues. I'ts now Sunday and no check yet. I called the disability company and of course it's closed but I used the automated tree ( man I hate those things) and I'm told that my account has been closed. I sent an email to my case worker and got an automated response that she would be out of the office from Wed. of last week 'til tomorrow or Mon. Aggggghhhhhhhhhh! I'm so frustrated I can't begin to express the degree of it.
Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I just spent the last hour typing away and my computer glitched and I lost it all. Oh well, I was whining anyway. You probably didn't want to read that.
Besides the above nightmare going on, these 2 weeks are bringing a whole slew of fun & games.
first, this is the 10 Annual Dance Week & Recital at work. I have to give a talk on whether dance is considered fitness or not, take the costumes into work for the Belly dance piece, go to rehearsals for both the Belly dance and the Bollywood piece from last August. Yikes!
A wedding shower to go to on Sat. morning, a charity auction Sat. evening, Mothers Day on Sunday, get the yard cleaned and ready for the annual house party the following week, figure out how much chicken to buy to make Thai Satay for said party, a graduation party to go to the day after my party, possibly go on a couple of dates that will be better than the 1 I went on last week. Nevermind that 1.
Anyways, my knee is doing great. I'm teaching an occasional class now, mostly standing & barking at participants, still only allowed to stand for no more than 1 hour at a time, then upstairs for office work. I did manage to go to a belly dance class last Sat. and minus not doing the turns I did great. I will say my teacher was so terrified. I felt sorry for her but all went well. I was going to go again yesterday but the check thing got me all fuddled up. No, I'm not going back there, don't worry.
I'll sign off for now as the pooch needs his you-know-what!
Peace out everyone and as always keep dancing for me.
