If donating $, make sure its going to a reputable one. Sadly, but most assuredly, there will be scammers making the most out of this horrible situation. Bottom feeders that they are.
It was Labor Day last week. Developed as a day to celebrate the American worker with a national tribute for all of the contributions made by them for this country. It began in municipalities around 1885-86, then went on to state legislatures then finally, a national holiday. so, while your sleeping in, going to picnics and generally enjoying an extra day off, think about the workers of this country, including you. We made this country great and innovative. Without us, the businesses wouldn't exist. Corporations, pay heed.
On to the workouts.
Since 10 min. with music went by so easily on the rebounder, I decided to up it to 15 min.! Still went by pretty fast. Poor Delilah wanted to go outside but was not too thrilled at the prospect of going by the tramp while I was working on it. Her tail was wagging and her ears were up and I did notice a hint of a smile (yes, I believe dogs can smile) but she just wouldn't walk in/by. Once I got off, she went right through. Silly dog.
9/4/17 I'd already walked the babies this morning and cleaned up the backyard when I got on. My starting HR was 80bpm and 139bpm when I finished.
I got on it a few times last week. Got my HR up to 140. Slightly heavy breathing, had to open my mouth to inhale, but not too hard and I broke a bit of sweat. Yay me! I'm sure if I stayed on longer my HR would get to where I really know I'm working hard. 140bpm is probably just where the avg. person my age would need to be but I need to get it up higher to get breathless. But, hey, work is work and something is always better than nothing.
I have a pretty active week coming up, 2 birthdays, a musical, a football game ( I actually went last night to the UoA game. More reason for me to not like college ball but thats another story.) My smart watch told me I walked 8900 or so steps yesterday and that I burned over 4000 calories! The steps I believe but the caloric burn, no. Ummm, something off, maybe? Ha! Just a tad, right? Oh well, On with the new week.
I've just finished making a red meat sauce for some lasagna I'm going to make over the weekend. It's slow-cooking as we speak (read). I'll make the noodles in the next few days. I make my own noodles from scratch. They just taste so good when they're freshly made but it is a bit time consuming. I haven't made this in a while. I mentioned it to my sis and now she's after me to make it. I guess she does love my food. Ha!
I like to use both sweet and spicy Italian sausage in my meat sauce. Unfortunately, I thought I had the spicy already but turns out it was linguisa I had . Oh well so it's linguisa and sweet Italian sausage. Get over it, I have. :). Should still be yummy, and I'm looking forward to having some.
Peace out folks and keep dancing.
