Another battle was recently won in the Supreme Court to ensure the constitutional rights of everybody, not just those who want everyone to conform to what some think is the only way to live.
Mixed with the sadness of the prior weeks horrific murder of 9 innocent people in a church no less. Violence just because of the color of the skin, the wrapping if you will. When will we learn. We all have the same rights people. Get over yourselves.
There, my ranting is over. Now for the real nitty-gritty, health & fitness.
I've been cleaning as well as walking the pooches this weekend. Ugh! I did however lose 2 lb's in 5 days. So,I'm hoping they stay off and get joined by many more on my journey to drop the excess I'm carrying. I'm doing what I can right now with the quasi-paleo effort. I have had some bread, sourdough of course, but not a whole lot of it.
As I said my doc said in my case it's not about working out more but I now have to look at the nutritional aspect of health so I seem to be off to a fairly good start. Don't get me wrong, it's not that i ate crap, 'cuz I really don't but I do like pasta and the like but I need to back off of that food type for awhile.
I figure it might help my foot that has decided to give me some grief as of late.I didn't sprain or twist it at all but man, it was so stiff and swollen for 3 days. I still felt the soreness after that but not as bad as Monday.
I swear, I think the body's old injuries from years past come back to haunt you later in life. No good reason for it, just is.
We have independence, we have choice. We can choose to sit and do nothing or we can get up and be productive. We have a choice of veggies or fried foods. Just don't blame anyone else for the choices you've made. Instead, look at them, evaluate them, learn from them and do what needs to be done.
It's ok to have an opinion differing or otherwise, but you need to respect other peoples rights and opinions too.
Stand up and show your independence from lethargy and fatty foods and get up, eat healthy with lots of color on the plate naturally. When you crave something have it, but don't over-indulge. Bit by bit you'll gain control over the important things, your life, your health and your sanity.
Remember, protect your kids and your pets this weekend. I have my 3 up in the house. They don't particularly like the fireworks and I don't want the cat to be in danger from fools so in they stay.
Stay hydrated, don't drive drunk and have a great holiday. I'm off to my sis' house to play in the pool.
